<description><![CDATA[<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Helen Keller Prize for Vision Research Call for Nominations – Deadline January 31, 2025</span></strong>.

<p>
The Helen Keller Foundation for Research and Education is accepting nominations for the 2026 Helen Keller Prize for Vision Research, presented in partnership with BrightFocus Foundation. Established in 1994, the Helen Keller Prize is one of the most prestigious and coveted awards presented in the field of vision research.
</p>
<p>
Worldwide nominations are hereby requested that recognize an individual of high character for research excellence as demonstrated by a number of significant research contributions to vision science during the course of a career or for a single research contribution of exceptional importance to vision science.
</p>
<p>Submitted materials required are <span style="text-decoration: underline;">two independently written letters</span> of nomination describing the contributions of the nominee and his/her impact on visual science and/or eye care. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Each letter should not exceed three pages.</span> The candidate’s bio-sketch (NEI or abbreviated CV, six-page maximum) should be included as well.

Nominations should be sent electronically to: lbeckwith@helenkellerfoundation.org, no later than January 31, 2025. The independent Prize Selection Committee includes scientists and physicians who are leading figures in the international ophthalmic community.

Dear ISER members and colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the 4th International Symposium on Retinal and Choroidal Angiogenesis which will be held at Université de Montréal on October 10, 2025 (attached announcement) in a hybrid format (in person and virtual). The current symposium organized builds on the success of previous International Symposia on Retinal and Choroidal Angiogenesis (2017, 2020, 2022).

This year, as in the past, we bring together distinguished international leaders in the field of ocular angiogenesis and vascular degeneration, bridging science from bench to bedside, with particular emphasis on Age-Related Macular Degeneration. Registration and information on the Symposium are provided at the following address: https://visionnetwork.ca/events/symposia/symposia/. Attached are the poster announcement and day's program.  

We look forward to hosting you (preferably in person) in our beautiful city of Montréal, Québec, Canada, or through videoconference.
